The weather
in Madeira is fairly consistent. Never getting too hot and hardly ever
getting too cold. Indeed, in a sense it is something like the idyllic
motif in many prose literature that evoke "Utopia". But the
real surprise and pleasure in camping around Madeira is the multiple
experience of various micro-climates. Micro-climates
which vary from dry hot patches in one part of the island and in the
valley next a lush, flower laden forest, burst forth. The chart above
shows a temperature pattern for Funchal. However, this is only a guide
if you compare it to other parts of the island and altitudes.
